The Birdies for Charity Campaign is a fundraiser sponsored by The Thunderbirds and the Waste Management Phoenix Open, where supporters can make a pledge for each birdie that is made at this year’s 2020 Waste Management Phoenix Open. 100% of all collected pledges will come right back to The First Tee of Phoenix chapter, plus Birdies for Charity will add an additional 15% on top of everything collected.Last year 1,423 birdies were made during the 4 rounds of the WMPO. A pledge of $.01 per Birdie made to Birdies for Charity turned into a $14.23 donation to The First Tee of Phoenix.
how does my child participate in Birdies for Charity?
We would recommend your child’s supporters to use the online BFC donation portal (BirdiesforCharityAZ.com). Birdies for Charity will be sending payment emails (for Pledge donations) to all supporters after the tournament. Please make sure email addresses are legible if using the collection folder. A step by step process on how to pledge through the Birdies for Charity website is attached to this email. The First Tee of Phoenix members can promote through email, social media, etc. which is highly encourage to get the word out. We also suggest following up with a phone call to your immediate Circle of Influence. This dramatically increases the chances of support. - Thanks to our board member and supporter Greg Hoyt, the top 3 fundraisers and one guest will be hosted in a Corporate suite on the world famous 16th at the 2020 Waste Management Phoenix Open ANNEXUS Pro-Am and Phoenix Suns Charities Shot at Glory on Wednesday, January 29th!
- Out top 15 fundraisers will aarn a spot Caddying for PGA Professionals and Celebrities on the par-3 4th hole at the 2020 Waste Management Phoenix Open ANNEXUS Pro-Am on Wednesday, January 29th.
- All participants that secure at least one pledge/donation will receive an invitation to a clinic at the TPC Champions course on Monday, January 27th. The clinic will be conducted by one of the PGA professional tour players participating in the WMPO!
